Military analyst Sean Bell says Israel faces a “major conundrum” should it launch its expected ground offensive in Gaza. He says that “the major unknown and the major risk” for the IDF is the network of underground tunnels which Hamas has been investing in for decades. Bell also believes Israel will have “no idea where all of them run”. And that means they could pop up almost anywhere and “present a real danger”.
