US Republican senators blocked Wednesday $106 billion in emergency aid primarily for Ukraine and Israel as conservatives balked at the exclusion of immigration reforms they had demanded as part of the package. The blocked aid bill has sparked fears of a “domino effect” among Ukrainians, FRANCE 24’s correspondent Gulliver Cragg said. “If the US’s support for Ukraine couldn’t be counted on, then Ukraine’s other allies might start giving up on the country as well”, Cragg said.
