Labour: ‘Completely unacceptable’ for Israeli PM to reject two-state solution

Shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper has criticised Benjamin Netanyahu’s rejection of a two-state solution to the conflict in Gaza. She said Labour had been clear it was “completely unacceptable” for the Israeli leader to rule out what is widely seen as the only way of resolving the war and securing long-term peace in the region. But she was less clear about Labour’s position on the forthcoming closure of Tata Steel’s Port Talbot plant in South Wales, with the loss of 2,800 jobs.
