The world’s top court has ordered Israel to ensure urgent humanitarian assistance reaches people in the Gaza Strip, where fighting rages despite a binding UN ceasefire. Israel hit back, alleging inaccuracies and questionable sources, adding that Israel does not operate food distribution in Gaza. Israel also slammed UN agencies for being unable to handle the quantity of aid arriving daily. Taking issue with Israel’s position is Human Rights Lawyer, War Crimes Prosecutor and Author of ‘To Catch a Dictator’ Reed Brody. He explains to FRANCE 24’s Alison Sargent that “it’s precisely the military operations of Israel that are making it so difficult to bring in humanitarian assistance.”
