Police have cleared a pro-Palestinian encampment and arrested more than a hundred demonstrators at the University of California, Los Angeles. Officers moved in overnight and dismantled barricades, following clashes between opposing groups of protesters. Violence flared on Wednesday after a group of people, some of whom were carrying Israeli flags, attacked a pro-Palestinian camp, where people had been demonstrating against Israel’s actions in Gaza. US President Joe Biden condemned the unrest.
