Protesters shut down major intersection in Georgia in rally against ‘foreign agents’ law

Thousands of people blocked roads in Heroes Square in Tbilisi, Georgia to protest against a ‘foreign agents’ bill, which had passed into law earlier in the day.

The bill – condemned as a Kremlin-inspired act of repression – was backed by 84 MPs to 30 despite western pressure and the rolling protests that have brought hundreds of thousands of people on to the streets of the capital
