The Israeli army decided to implement a daily, daytime ‘tactical pause’ in part of southern Gaza to increase the amount of humanitarian aid that could enter the Palestinian territory. The army did not ‘go through and approve all the details’ of the pauses with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s office, nor did it go through Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, reports ABC News correspondent Jordana Miller. "The Israeli army saw there was a massive pileup of aid on the Gazan side and it needed to be distributed."
