The number of plastic bags found on Britain’s beaches has fallen by 80% since the introduction of a "tax" nearly a decade ago, according to figures from the Marine Conservation Society.
The government is now being urged to do the same with plastic bottles to help solve the UK’s pollution on its shoreline.
