We just WON our lawsuit against the AZ Secretary of State for illegally withholding his list of the 218K+ registered voters who did not provide proof of citizenship. He must produce his complete list of these voters by MONDAY — before Election Day. – America First Legal
Despite AZ Secretary Adrian Fontes’ best efforts to falsely paint @AZHouseGOP @AZSenateGOP as homicidal maniacs (totally unhinged argument not remotely grounded in reality), while he’s also actively preventing Recorders from having access to do their jobs … The Honorable Judge Blaney ruled in our favor in requiring Fontes to release to EZAZ.org the 98k voters impacted by the MVD “glitch” causing voters to not have proof of citizenship on record Our only intent has always been to ensure the Recorders and Legislative leadership can do their jobs! And legal voters are enfranchised with confidence that their government is following the law in the operation of the elections! Now that will happen! And the reputation of our happy, hardworking volunteers at EZAZ.org is restored!
- Court Order: Secretary Fontes must produce the list by Monday, November 4, 2024, one day before the U.S. presidential election.
- Background: The issue arose from a longstanding computer glitch that allowed individuals to register without providing the legally required proof of citizenship.
- Partial List: At trial, Secretary Fontes testified that his office possesses a partial list of 98,000 individuals affected by this issue.
- Inconsistent Testimony: The court found Secretary Fontes’s testimony inconsistent, suggesting a lack of detailed familiarity with the efforts and records related to the 218,000 individuals.
- Legal Action: America First Legal sued on behalf of the Strong Communities Foundation of Arizona (EZAZ.org) to obtain the list, citing Arizona’s Public Records Law.
- Public Records Law: This law requires the Secretary of State to produce voter information upon request, a practice regularly followed for other voter lists.
- Election Integrity Concerns: The lawsuit emphasizes the importance of this information for the integrity of the upcoming presidential election, noting the narrow margin in Arizona’s 2020 election.
- Potential Impact: The release of this list could influence voter verification processes and election outcomes.
We are also awarded the communications related to glitches incidents! And …..
Attorney fees and costs!
