Republican strategist Jesse Garza tells Sky News that at this point in the election race, we should not be looking at the polls, saying the "only poll, in my opinion, that matters, is the one that the voters are going too on Tuesday".
The current polls shows that Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are still very close.
Talking to Sky’s Mark Austin, Mr Garza says that going up points in the polls doesn’t mean a party will win, but means they have to "fight harder" to get their supporters to turn out and vote.
Following comments from president Joe Biden calling Trump supports "garbage", Mr Garza says this "mudslinging is not unusual" during a presidential campaign.
