Joe Rogan Laughs: Seventh Consecutive Audit Failure: The Pentagon has failed its annual audit for the seventh consecutive year. Elon Musk says DOGE will handle it!

Joe Rogan laughs hysterically when he realizes the Pentagon has never passed an audit: “How many times have they missed their audit? WAIT, THEY’VE NEVER PASSED AN AUDIT? REALLY? NEVER?”

The Pentagon just failed its SEVENTH straight audit. This means the Pentagon has never passed an audit since it became a requirement for them. But don’t worry, they’re “making progress!” What would happen if you failed an audit? It’s time to hold government to the same standard. Robby Starbuck

SO… THE PENTAGON “MISPLACED” $2.46 TRILLION… For the 7th year in a row, the Pentagon has failed its financial audit, unable to account for 60% of its $4.1 trillion in assets. Yes… that’s a staggering $2.46 trillion unaccounted for. If a private citizen failed even a few IRS audits, they’d likely face hefty fines and possible jail time for tax evasion. Yet, despite repeated failures, the Department of Defense still receives its full $824 billion annual budget. Conducted by independent auditors and overseen by the DoD Inspector General, these audits, costing $178 million and conducted by 1,700 auditors. Sources: The Hill, GAO – Mario Nawfal

  • Audit Scope: The audit covered $3.8 trillion in assets and $4 trillion in liabilities.
  • Audit Outcome: Of the 29 individual audits, only 7 received a clean opinion, while 22 were deemed unauditable.
  • Progress Noted: Despite the failure, officials noted improvements in financial management and accountability.
  • Challenges Identified: The audit highlighted issues in inventory management, financial reporting, and information technology systems.
  • Inventory Discrepancies: Significant discrepancies were found in the tracking and valuation of military equipment and supplies.
  • Financial Reporting Issues: Inaccuracies in financial statements and lack of proper documentation were identified.
  • IT System Weaknesses: Vulnerabilities in information technology systems were noted, affecting data integrity and security.
  • Corrective Actions: The Department of Defense is implementing corrective actions to address the identified deficiencies.
  • Leadership Commitment: Senior officials emphasized their commitment to achieving a clean audit in the future.
  • Budget Implications: The audit results have implications for budget planning and resource allocation within the Department of Defense.
  • Congressional Oversight: Lawmakers are increasing oversight and demanding accountability for the audit failures.
  • Public Trust Concerns: Repeated audit failures have raised concerns about the Pentagon’s financial stewardship among the public.
  • Audit Costs: The annual audits cost approximately $1 billion, including expenses for external auditors and internal preparations.
  • Historical Context: The Department of Defense has struggled with financial management and auditability for decades.
  • Comparative Performance: Other federal agencies have achieved clean audits, highlighting the Pentagon’s unique challenges.
  • Future Plans: The Department plans to modernize financial systems and improve data accuracy to achieve audit readiness.
  • External Auditors’ Role: Independent auditors conducted the audit and provided recommendations for improvement.
  • Impact on Contractors: The audit findings may affect defense contractors, especially regarding contract compliance and payments.
  • Long-Term Goals: The Pentagon aims to establish a culture of accountability and transparency in financial operations.

The dismissiveness of Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks in this clip is simply astounding. Jon Stewart points out the Pentagon keeps failing its audits & she literally tries to laugh it off. This is the entrenched mentality the next SecDef will face.  This was from a year ago….

Pentagon Budget failed – Elon will be pouncing. This interview with Jon Stewart…

The Pentagon has just failed its 7th audit and says it cannot account for what its $824B budget is spent on THIS IS INTENTIONAL: Congressman Tim Burchett says if anyone were to leak where the money goes when The Pentagon fails their audits, they’d be murdered “Pentagon that has billions of dollars that they hide, we don’t ask for any accounting of. They never pass an audit in the history of audits. I’ve often said the only way we’re really going to get to the bottom of this is somebody’s going to walk out of one of these labs with this information and puts it out on the internet before they commit suicide by shooting themselves in the back of the head five times.” – Wall Street Apes
