Lebanon has begun deploying troops south of the Litani river to oversee a ceasefire between Israel and the militant group Hezbollah. Both Israel and Hezbollah are required to start withdrawing from the border area under the terms of the deal. Earlier on Wednesday, thousands of displaced Lebanese began returning to their homes in the south. The Israeli military has imposed a nighttime curfew in southern Lebanon, warning people not to return to areas where Israeli troops are still present.
