Millions of people living in parts of Wales and the South West have received an emergency alert from the government, warning them of Storm Darragh.
The Cabinet Office alert to three million people tells them to stay indoors and avoid driving from 3am.
A rare red weather warning has been issued for those areas – that’s the most serious type of weather alert and means there is a potential for a loss of life.
Sky News weather forecaster Joanna Robinson says the fact the strong winds will last all day is likely to increase the risk of serious damage and disruption.
