Police were ‘immensely brave’ but forces were unprepared for riots in the summer after the murders in Southport, according to a new report.
Findings say police failed to realise the significance of a number of events leading up to the riots, leaving gaps in intelligence linked to social media, as Sky’s Greg Milam reports.
