“Unfortunately until now, we have retrieved more than eight martyrs, all of them burned. They arrived in pieces, most of them are children, women and elderly.”
At least 10 people were killed in an Israeli air strike that struck a residential building near Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza’s Beit Lahia.
Fire tore through the rubble in the early hours of Wednesday as medics struggled to retrieve bodies, with some victims still trapped under the debris.
The hospital’s director, Hussam Abu Safiya, said the facility lacks critical tools and resources to assist casualties properly.
