Putin says Russia is ready for talks and ‘compromises’ on Ukraine

Putin claims progress in Ukraine, stating "victory is nearer" but avoids a timeline for pushing Ukrainian forces out of Kursk.

At his annual news conference, he expressed readiness for talks with US President-elect Trump, hinting at compromise while blaming Ukraine for stalling peace.
