Home Secretary Yvette Cooper will make a statement on child sexual exploitation and abuse in the House of Commons, after Elon Musk criticised ministers over the grooming gangs scandal.
The prime minister said those "spreading lies" about child sexual abuse are "not interested in victims". Sir Keir also said "a line had been crossed" in the attacks on safeguarding minister Jess Phillips, who Musk labelled a "witch" and "rape genocide apologist". He also attacked the Tories for not calling out the comments, saying too many politicians were "casual about honesty and decency".
