Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin have attempted to put pressure on the incoming Trump administration.
In the last meeting before the White House changes hands, they said cutting off military support to Kyiv would lead to more aggression and chaos. Austin announced the US will send another $500 million in security aid to Ukraine, including missiles and equipment for fighter jets. Germany also pledged more aid. Ukraine’s key allies have been holding talks at the Ramstein air base in western Germany.
