Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed a Gaza ceasefire deal has been agreed with Hamas, after overcoming last-minute disputes.
Mr Netanyahu’s security cabinet is meeting now to vote on the deal, and then the government will have to approve it.
He said if all finalised, the first hostages "are expected to be released as early as Sunday".
The civil defence agency in Gaza said at least 80 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes since the deal was first announced, with Israel’s military saying it had hit more than 50 targets across the territory.
