It’s commonly referred to as the largest human gathering of all – the Hindu pilgrimage Kumbh Mela in the city of Prayagraj in northern India. The six-week festival only takes place in certain years, and is now in its third week. Among it’s main attractions are sadhus – holy men, revered for their spiritual virtue and renunciation of worldly pleasures. DW’s Adil Bhat reports.
