Just a day after US President Trump suggested that the US should take over the Gaza Strip, Israel says it is already preparing for large numbers of Palestinians to leave the territory. On Thursday, members of the Trump administration have tried to walk back some of the president’s shocking proposal–a proposal that is drawing condemnation from around the world, with the head of the United Nations warning against ethnic cleansing.
