We begin in Saudi Arabia where Ukrainian and US delegations have held their first round of talks on ending the war in Ukraine. A second round now underway is said to concern security guarantees for Ukraine.
Initial talks were to focus on Kyiv’s plans for a ceasefire to halt land and sea attacks. Ahead of the talks, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he’s optimistic — provided Ukraine is prepared to ‘do difficult things.’
