Donald Trump has imposed a 25% tariff plan on steel and aluminium imports, designed to protect US manufacturing and boost jobs by making foreign-made products less attractive.
Sky’s Mark Stone visits a manufacturing plant in West Virginia, where the chief executive says these tariffs are "blunt" but necessary to combat cheap Chinese aluminium.
But for a brewery in Washington DC, which imports cans from Canada, the owner is worried about the cost of tariffs on their operating costs, saying they "don’t have the luxury" of raising their price as they are in a "competitive landscape".
