Ukraine and its main European allies are pressing Russia to accept a 30-day ceasefire, to take effect on Monday. The leaders of Germany, Poland, France and the UK travelled to Kyiv for talks with President Zelenskyy, and also spoke to Donald Trump by phone in Washington. The allies are threatening Russia with increased sanctions if it fails to comply.
