The domestic violence commissioner for England and Wales has told Sky News the victims of domestic violence are "paying the price for prison overcrowding".
Thousands of offenders will be released after serving a third of their jail term, under plans proposed in a sentencing policy review.
Dame Nicole Jacobs said the changes are "truly at odds" with the government claiming there’s a "national emergency" when it comes to violence against women and girls.
