Time is running out for the European Union to strike a trade deal with Donald Trump ahead of a July ninth deadline. If the two sides fail to come to an agreement, the bloc faces tariffs of 20 percent or even higher. Which may be why the EU’s trade boss is in Washington this week for last-minute talks with US officials. But with Europe adamant its digital laws wont be a part of any negotiations, is this the sticking point which risks derailing the whole deal? TRT World’s Victoria Innes has more.
