Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in Washington, where President Donald Trump is pushing for an end to the war in Gaza. Trump is expected to present Netanyahu with a peace plan that includes the exchange of the remaining Israeli hostages in Gaza for Palestinian prisoners. With more western countries formally recognizing a Palestinian state and the growing threat of EU sanctions, Netanyahu is arguably under more pressure than ever to end the conflict.
