A "major incident" has been declared in Manchester after a stabbing at a synagogue, with four people injured and a suspect shot by police.
A man suspected of being the offender has been shot, Greater Manchester Police has said.
In a statement, which you can read in full below, the force said shots were fired by officers.
"One man has been shot, believed to be the offender," it added.
