Acting Detective Superintendent Lewis Sanderson released a statement following the sentencing of serial rapist Chao Xu.
He said, Chao Xu committed "some of the most cowardly and abhorrent crimes imaginable".
He thanks the "extraordinary bravery" of the victims and the work of his team.
The police believe there could be hundreds more victims and appeal for people to come forward.
