Earlier this year Trump threatened to move World Cup games from cities he thinks are "not safe".
The 2026 World Cup will be held across several states, including Democrat-run cities like New York, Los Angeles, Seattle and San Francisco.
Speaking at the White House in September, the US president said: "If I think it’s not safe, we’re going to move it out of that city."
Mr Trump added that if a stadium or city "is going to be even a little bit dangerous for the World Cup", or for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, "we’ll move it around a little bit".
