Jamal Khashoggi’s widow condemns Trump’s comments

The widow of the murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi has offered to meet Donald Trump after the US president made disparaging comments about her husband in front of the man the US accused of orchestrating the murder.

Hanan Khashoggi told Sky News she also wanted financial compensation from the Saudi government.

US intelligence concluded the dissident journalist was murdered in Istanbul in 2018 under the orders of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Mr Trump held a news conference with the prince, where he told reporters "a lot of people didn’t like" Mr Khashoggi.
