On-site camera destroyed by lava from erupting Hawaii volcano

Volcanic activity resumed at Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano on December 6, with lava blasting into the air and destroying one of the live-stream cameras on site.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the eruption began around 8:45 am from Kilauea’s north vent, with lava fountains soaring more than 300 metres high toward a closed section of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
