Myanmar holds first election since 2021 military coup

Myanmar is set to hold elections on Sunday, the first since the military coup that ousted Aung San Suu Kyi’s government in 2021. The military says voting will not take place nationwide due to ongoing conflict, while opposition groups reject the process as illegitimate.
