Children as young as five ‘exposed to pornography’ leading to fears of addiction

Children as young as five are being exposed to online pornography, with some reporting addiction, Sky News has learned.

Research by the charity Dignify shows the average age of first exposure is 12, with a third of children seeing it while still in primary school.

Sky News has spoken to one woman who says early exposure to pornographic material led to addiction, depression and amounted to her having her childhood "taken away".

Anyone feeling emotionally distressed or suicidal can call Samaritans for help on 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org in the UK. In the US, call the Samaritans branch in your area or 1 (800) 273-TALK
