Lord Mandelson is stand down from the House of Lords in the wake of the Epstein file revelations.
A statement from Lords Speaker, Lord Forsyth, said the move would be effective from 4 February.
Emails contained in the files appear to show that the former UK ambassador to the US sent Epstein market-sensitive information about government policy.
