Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called Iran’s refusal to discuss its ballistic missile program with the US “a big problem.”
He added, “Beyond their nuclear program, Iran possesses conventional weapons specifically designed to target America and Americans. These threats must be addressed.”
Rubio’s remarks come ahead of a third round of indirect US-Iran talks in Geneva, seen as a last-ditch effort to prevent war amid the largest US military build-up in the Middle East in decades.
