Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says it has targeted what it describes as “separatist groups” in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.The claim comes after reports that Iranian Kurdish forces are preparing armed units that could be deployed inside Iran, potentially with support from the United States.Sources familiar with the situation also say Israel is backing Kurdish plans to seize border areas in Iran, with the Israel Defense Forces reportedly carrying out strikes in western Iran in support of those efforts.Nicholas Rushworth and Camille Knight have the latest.
