Lava fountains in Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano soared up to 300 metres into the air, as the volcano’s 43rd eruption episode prompted temporary closures at a national park and part of an important highway due to falling glassy volcanic particles, including ash. Residents are concerned that incoming storm could send ash onto homes near the volcano.
