Deadly mine explosion shocks northern China

A gas explosion at the Liushenyu coal mine in China’s Shanxi province has killed at least 90 people, making it the country’s deadliest mining accident in at least 17 years. As rescue teams continue searching for workers believed to be trapped underground, President Xi Jinping has ordered an all-out rescue effort and a full investigation into the disaster.
