US President Donald Trump has claimed Iran will allow extensive inspections of its nuclear programme, following initial talks with Iran in Switzerland. He wrote on social media: “Everybody is fully aware that Iran will agree to have Major Weapons Inspections in order to ensure ‘Nuclear Honesty’ long into the future.” Vice President JD Vance echoed Trump saying inspections would be designed to ensure Iran never develops a nuclear weapon.
