Thousands join Peace March to honour Srebrenica genocide victims

More than 6,000 people set off on July 8 from Nezuk on the annual Peace March to Srebrenica, marking the 31st anniversary of the 1995 genocide committed by the Serb forces.

Participants walk the 100-kilometre route over three days, following the same path Bosniaks took while fleeing the massacre. Survivors are leading this year’s march, which will conclude in Potocari ahead of the collective funeral for newly identified victims.
