Record rainfall has left parts of Japan’s Chiba prefecture under water, with four deaths confirmed and one person missing. More than 22,000 households remained without power, while around 7,000 travellers were stranded at Narita airport. Major highways were closed and some rail services suspended as soldiers joined relief efforts.
