Lang Son police evacuated residents from inundated buildings in northern Vietnam after Typhoon Narra brought torrential rain and severe flooding on August 24. Some homes flooded up to the second floor, while more than 3,000 homes were damaged or flooded across the region. At least one person was killed in a landslide, more than 27,000 people lost power, and emergency crews continued evacuations and relief operations.
