A Chinese humanoid robot has clocked a 100m time nearly a second faster than Usain Bolt’s world record. The robot named Tian Jiao finished the race in 8.64 seconds at the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing on August 26, breaking its own 8.86-second record set a day earlier. The robot’s time was 0.94 seconds quicker than Bolt’s 9.58-second human world record, set in Berlin in 2009.
