Gadi Eisenkot: The man determined to dethrone Benjamin Netanyahu

A former member of the Israeli prime minister’s war cabinet has emerged as one of Benjamin Netanyahu’s biggest challengers in October’s elections.

Gadi Eisenkot only formed his centrist party last year, but it’s been quick to capitalise on the anger surrounding the October 7 attacks in 2023, and the war in Gaza that followed.

Sky’s Middle East correspondent Adam Parsons looks at the former military chief taking on Benjamin Netanyahu.
