“Today I announce that the official view of the British Government is that the occupation is unlawful”
British Foreign Minister Ed Miliband announced in Parliament a trade ban on goods made in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and some services including financing, construction, infrastructure, real estate and advertising for settlements.
Miliband said Britain considers the West Bank occupation unlawful and believes Palestinians face ethnic cleansing in parts of the territory. He said the UK must “act” against settlement expansion.
