Israeli PM Netanyahu said settler violence was the work of about 150 "juvenile delinquents" who throw stones, cut down olive trees and light fires, and claimed casualties amounted to "maybe two or three a year." He said Israel would not stand for vigilantism and that it’s a "country of law."
Recorded illegal settler attacks on Palestinian’s and their communities in the occupied West Bank have run into the thousands since 2023, with olive groves vandalised, mass shootings and murder, homes and vehicles burned, and entire communities forced from their land, far beyond isolated stone-throwing by a handful of youths.
