Former cricketer Ashley Giles on struggles with obesity | BBC News

Former England cricketer Ashley Giles has revealed his weight ballooned to nearly 20 stone (127kg) when he finished playing.

He struggled with the transition from being a top international sportsman with his diet managed by nutritionists to a desk job when he retired from playing 19 years ago.

In an exclusive BBC interview he says he wants to start what he calls "a conversation" about obesity and mental health, encouraging others to speak openly about their challenges.
