EU farmers voice concerns about bloc’s new agricultural policies

The head of the EU farmers’ association, Pekka Pesonen, says the bloc’s new agriculture policy has left its farmers like ‘animals to be slaughtered,’ as the EU’s 2030 ‘Farm to Fork’ strategy aims to ‘slash pesticide use’ by 50%. The agriculture commissioner admits there will be a ‘short-term negative impact’ from the policies.
