Warning: this video contains scenes of extreme violence and ineptitude. CCTV and bodycam footage has been released showing two New York City cops shooting an armed robber – even though he was unarmed at the time. On June 4, two officers entered a deli in the East Village at the same time as 55-year-old Peyman Bahadoran and his cute little dog, before Bahadoran pulled a 12-inch ‘Defender Xtreme’ knife. This ignited a series of staggeringly incompetent events – including a missed Taser shot and the suspect having his knife taken from him when he put it down to pick up a pack of cigarettes – that ended in the now-unarmed Bahadoran being shot twice in the street. Bahadoran lived to see a charge sheet that included Robbery 1st Degree, Menacing a Police Officer, Menacing 2nd Degree, and Menacing 3rd Degree. The dog is also seen making good its escape. There’s no news of its whereabouts.
